Right from the age of 2 it is essential that you tell stories to your child. Make it a daily experience and tradition. Children like to hear the same story over and over again, sometimes with slight changes, but essentially with the same characters and story line. It gives them a very nice feeling of comfort and trust. Also childrens audio books can be very helpful. Spending time with your children is essential. Ask any child on this planet and he/she will tell you that they love doing things with their parents. Well, at least until they hit puberty. My advice to you is to take total advantage of the short time you have. That first 11 or 12 years of their life will fly by. I know I was amazed at how quickly it goes. One thing I like to do with my youngest child is read. She loves to hear all sorts of stories. Especially scary ones to be told after dark. But, since I’m not always around to do the telling, I purchase childrens audio books to assist me. This way when I can’t read to her, she can still hear a great story if she likes. Read more »

You get a baby, and all you want is to take care of that little new human being. But life goes on and you go look for a child care center. You just have to feel confident in the place and the people who are going to take care of your little darling. When it comes to our children, we have to make the most intuitive decisions possible. One slip-up could result with dire consequences. This notion hit me like a ton of bricks once it came time for my daughter to start pre-school/daycare. She was only three years old at the time and I had to commute to a University every morning an hour away. Since my wife was at work from 8-5, I had to be certain the child care centre we chose was perfectly safe. Like many parents, I have heard the horror stories. Family web site building can be great fun. It doesn’t have to be expensive or difficult. You can expand and grow the website as small or as big as you want, and I amsure that everybody, young and old, will love it… Many years ago, families lived close together.  When children grew up and started their own families they moved into a home in the same town or just down the road.  Unfortunately, it is rarely like that today.  Families are often spread apart and the physical distance can make it difficult to keep in touch.  Geography can make it difficult for families to stay connected.  That is why I like to keep a family web site.
